2022, The Year of Release & Freedom
In the Jewish calendar, every 7 years is a Shmita (year of Release). In the Shmita year, debts are to be forgiven, agricultural lands to rest, private land holdings to become open to the commons, and staples such as food storage and perennial harvests to be freely redistributed and accessible to all.
Every 49 years (7 Shmita’s) there is a Jubilee or Yovel (year of Freedom). In the Jubilee all slaves were set free.
Currently we are in a Shmita year (the year 5782 on the Jewish calendar, from 7 Sept 2021 to 26 Sept 2022).
The Jubilee year starts in September (the year 5783 on the Jewish calendar, from 27 Sept 2022 to 7 Sept 2023).
2022 will be a very significant year for Christians. It is a tremendous time of blessing and outpouring from God. There will be new open doors, increase and expansion as well as people coming out of debt. God is going to set captives free from their slavery, destroying yokes and bondage.
We are ushering into the outpouring of the latter rain and a worldwide revival. Fire will fall from heaven on believers who are attuned to God and living holy. As a result of this baptism of fire, Christians will stand up and be the salt to the world. Repentance, a return to holiness and revival are going to start breaking out.
